Description
Miller Avenue as a winding dirt road, with Mt. Tamalpais in the background. The tall white house near the center is "The Maples," once home of Jacob Gardner and family. It has had two addresses, either 352 Miller Avenue or 491 Ethel Avenue. Tamalpais High School was built in the area left of center in the foreground of the photo. There are three versions of this photo, v1, v2 and v3. Handwritten on back of v1: "Miller Ave, Mill Valley, Calif. Lower left corner of picture is where Tam High is now. About 1900. Mrs G. R.
