Description: Doris Kearns Goodwin discusses her book, “No Ordinary Time: Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt: The Home Front in World War II." Goodwin describes Franklin and Eleanor’s relationship and Franklin’s fear of fire. She talks about Harry Hopkins, Roosevelt’s aide, and Eleanor’s concern for people of color. Goodwin goes on to discuss Eleanor’s travels and newspaper column, “My Day,” Franklin’s relationship with Winston Churchill, and his mistress, Lucy Mercer.
