Photograph of Arroyo Seco at Avenue 52 before installation of channel, ca.1938. The concrete bridge spans the river at center. The shallow, muddy arroyo runs from the foreground at right to the background at left. Utility wires can be seen at left, and a brushy hill is visible at right. Light posts are visible along the roadbed of the bridge. This new bridge was washed out in the flood of March 3, 1938.
