Description
Photograph caption dated April 21, 1955 reads "More than 44,000 square feet of asphalt now covers old agriculture area east of the science building on grounds of San Fernando Junior High School, above. It will be provided with an eight foot chain link fence, basketball courts and other recreational facilities by the Los Angeles Board of Education. Inspecting the newly rolled area is Inspector Steve Kosztics. In background is newly decorated science building." The school is located at 130 North Brand Boulevard in San Fernando.; See images #00142133 through #00142134 for all photos in this series.
