In notes for that map Kashnor notes, "Very rare. The cartographer follows the map of Captain John Smith, published in 1612. The next after the above map was again issued by Smith in his Virginia Discovered, 1625." Kashnor dates as [1619]. Others have added manuscript guesses to this copy of 1628 and 1630. Date as established by Burden and Van der Krogt based on pagination on verso. State 1 of map, according to Burden; appeared in according to Van der Krogt (atlas 1:312).
