Description
Photograph article dated February 2, 1965 partially reads, "Jockey Walter Blum, the national riding champion for most winners both in 1963 and 1964, has been voted the 1965 George Woolf Memorial Jockey Award by turf writers and sports editors. The award, in the form of a cast bronze miniature of the lifesize statue of the late Jockey Woolf that stands in the Santa Anita paddock gardens, will be presented in traditional colorful public ceremonies at the race track on Tuesday, Feb. 16."
