Slide Series, Bangladesh 1990: "Leprosy - the old scourge" - No. 03: A leper man with thickening of the skin. With patients with a low or no resistance, the disease may show special signs. This patient was got strong skin thickening in his face. Sometimes this condition is named a lion face. The symptoms are also used as an early diagnose of the disease, since the thickening often starts in the earlobes, and is felt before other symptoms appear.
