Description
Shows the destruction of the Fremont Hotel, 204 West Santa Clara Street., San Jose, California. There is a crane reaching up to the roof. Most of the structure of the building is intact. Part of the building's facade is cut out of the picture. There is a red barricade in the road. A man with a white hat on is in the foreground, facing away from the photographer with his hands on his hips. The building in the background is the Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Building (95 Almaden Avenue). Information taken from the 1966 San Jose City Directory. Part of the Park Center Redevelopment Project.
