Description
Glass plate negative of six miners inside the mine, gathered around an enormous square-cut beam of wood set in crumbled rock and rubble. A candle can be seen attached to the beam on the side opposite from the miners, and another one held in the hand of a man at left in photo. The glass plate is broken in the upper left corner.
