Attributed to Carleton Watkins - reasonably certain Library's collection of mammoth prints printed from negatives by Watkins.
Shows Cascade Rapids, Columbia River. On right bank 5-mile long portage railroad visible along river's edge. Shows tramway built of fir stringers, ties.
