The Pageant consisted of a different form of transportation leaving Sutter's Fort each day, traveling to San Francisco for the opening. Pageant was sponsored by the Sacramento Chamber of Commerce. The covered wagon, pulled by a ten-ox team, left Sutter's Fort on Nov. 5th. Driven by Tom Cowan.
