Photograph article dated March 4, 1954 reads, "Celebration of their Golden Wedding Anniversary by Mr. and Mrs. Silas Hayes, 10850 Camarillo St., here, was occasion recently for over 75 relatives and close friends to gather at the residence of their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur A. Becke, 4828 Cleon Ave., North Hollywood. Two persons attending the event had also attended the wedding in 1904 with Rev. Vincent Haugh of the Methodist Church officiating in the home wedding. They were John Hayes, brother of the bridegroom, and Mrs. Wallace Duguid, sister of the bride. The couple built their home on Camarillo street in 1929 when the land around was nothing but cow pastures and fruit orchards."
