Description
Shown is a 1949 view of K Street near Eleventh Street during the postwar years, featuring a number of local businesses such as Heeseman Clothiers, founded by Charles J. Heeseman in 1916 after he purchased Mark Harrison and Co. Also visible is the northern side of the Hotel Sacramento. The sign of the Fox Senator Theatre, which opened in 1924, is visible in the background.
