Title supplied by cataloger. Developed by Conrad Hilton and designed by Welton Becket, the Beverly Hilton Hotel opened in 1953 on a 8.9-acre lot. In 1987, the hotel was sold to entertainer Merv Grfiffin for $100.2 million dollars. 16 years later, in 2003, Griffin sold it for $130 million dollars. The hotel boasts of 570 rooms, 101 suites, 3 restaurants, and 7 floors. It has hosted the Golden Globe Awards since 1961.
