Description
This is a map of CA in the 1850's. It shows many of the cities and towns as well as the railroad lines in California in that period. This map shows how many of the early cities and towns of California were situated along the rail lines, which helped make them, and eventually led to the decline of some as the rail lines started disappearing. Good condition (paper is fragile). Includes one inset map of San Francisco. Full document scanned.
