Description
Pictured here is one of the last remaining 1920's public wooden staircases leading from bluff to beach. This one is located near Cherry Avenue and Ocean Boulevard, just north of the Miller Historic Lifeguard Station. Interspersed along the descent, the white stairs have three landings and two seating areas. The sandy cliff under the stairs is slightly sunken and much of the cliff is covered with California native vegetation. About halfway down the cliff at far right, a palm tree grows.
