Description
"The outer walls may be of spartan adobe, but this is how it looks inside those walls. This view looks northward through the arbor court which forms the core of the Crossroads, the shopping center opened last week at 35th Avenue and Freeport Boulevard ... A bridge across the court's midway point links the two sides of the shopping arcade above; the bridge also forms a lighting roof for the circular stage set in the center of the court. From this stage the first annual Christmas Music Festival is being conducted at varying times during the holiday season ... The Crossroads is a $1.5 million development of H. D. and G. C. Setzer, whose Set-Ro Corp. owns the facility, The Stein Co. developed it and is handling leasing. Construction was by John F. Otto Inc. of Sacramento. The architects associated in the project are Ernest Kump Associates of Palo Alto and Dean F. Unger of Sacramento. Sasaki, Walker, Lackey Associates Inc. of San Francisco are the landscape architects"
