Photograph article dated February 13, 1963 partially reads, "Robert Hunte, who took a 50-mile hike to prove that Americans aren't soft, was home today. Resting. "I haven't got any blisters, but my legs are pretty tired," he said at his Tujunga home, 7708 Grove St. Hunte, 42, walked the 50 miles Tuesday in an effort to show "that Americans aren't as soft as they are alleged to be." The trip required 14 hours and took off 10 of his 210 pounds."
