Photograph caption dated April 8, 1957 reads, "Learn office skills in class - Mrs. Betty Trempe, business teacher at John Burroughs High School, shows students how to prepare stencil, skill they'll use in paid after-school jobs arranged by school counselor. More than 60 students are in entire program, which also places college preparatory students in work similar to major they'll take in college. Eventually program will take in 300 students."
