Photograph caption dated October 5, 1966 reads, "This was the jam-packed scene at Dodger Stadium as seen from the air today as the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Baltimore Orioles met in the first game of the World Series. Fifty-five thousand roaring fans saw opener, but several hundred missed the start of game as they sat stranded in traffic on the Harbor, Hollywood Freeways and on Stadium Way. It was the first time a World Series ever opened here."
