Description: Elsie Lower Pomeroy (1882-1971), artist, holding one of her pieces. Pomeroy was a well-known artist who lived in Mill Valley from the early 1940's to 1969. She painted for the United State Department of Agiculture and was also part of the "California Scene Painting" movement.
