Description
2018-3282. Bust-length portrait atop scaffolding. "Taken at State Library during painting of mural, 1928" -- handwritten on verso. Born Gregor Keane Duncan in Seattle in 1910 to Charles and Constance (sister of Maynard Dixon) Duncan. Grew up in Sausalito, moved to New York in 1933. Worked as illustrator, political cartoonist. Died during World War II in 1944.
