Description
August 1986 1. Work begins at Richard J. Donavan Correctional Facility at Rock Mountain in San Diego. Construction workers are breaking ground and laying foundation. Aerial shots of construction are shown. 2. At California State prison, Folsom, the exterior walls are up and construction workers are busy laying cinderblocks for interior walls and installing pipes. Again, aerial shots of the prison are shown. (Begins at 6:50) 3. The Southern maximum security complex at California Correctional Institute in Tehachapi is shown. This features the 500-bed Level III additions. Prisoners play basketball and lounge in the exercise yard. We also see a typical lockup process. Aerial shots of the prison are shown. (Begins at 15:15)
