There are five fish hung by thick ropes on a wooden frame in the foreground the one on the left is outside of the wooden poles that support the frame and has its tail pointed down, while the other four are between the poles and have their heads down. There is a crowd of people on the wooden walkway or pier in the background. There is a sign that reads "Drugs" over a building in the background on the right. The weights of the fish have been written on the picture. They are, from left to right, 109 lbs., 118 lbs., 110 lbs., 120 lbs., 128 lbs., and 120 lbs. Photoprint reads "This not an unusual sight in the 1900's. Now, 1979, no flying fish or sardines, few mackerel, and probably no more Blue fin tuna".
