Photograph caption dated May 3, 1954 reads, "Here's close-up of a nutria, nicknamed 'gold nugget in fur.' Originally from Argentina, nutria have become popular in Valley produce exceptionally fine furs. This little feller belong[sic] to Mrs. Lillian Andrews, 12271 San Fernando Rd., San Fernando."
