Description
This circa-1975 image shows the Oak Park Branch of the Sacramento City Library, located at 3301 Fifth Ave. Built in 1929 and 1930, the structure served as a library branch and clubhouse until its purchase by the University of the Pacific’s McGeorge Law School in 1989 for $340,000. At the time this photograph was taken, “Pimp,” by Iceberg Slim, was the branch’s most popular title.
