Melinda and Robert Blanchard discuss their autobiography, “Live What You Love.” The pair begins by talking about the four main characteristics that a successful entrepreneur should have: passion, the right people, a good environment, and money. They talk about starting 8 different entrepreneurial businesses and their failures and successes. They discuss the hard times they have faced when one of their businesses failed and how they had to bury their savings in the backyard so no one would take it. They also describe how financial insecurity caused troubles in their home and concerned their son. They end the interview by discussing their current lives owning a restaurant on the island of Anguilla and tell a story about how they brought back some of their employees to Vermont to see snow.
