Photograph of illuminated Christmas trees on Hollywood Boulevard, December, 1928. Numerous Christmas trees decorated with Christmas lights can be seen lining both sides of Hollywood Boulevard in this photograph, which was taken at night. Several neon signs can be seen on some of the business establishments, and street lights can also be seen, placed at regular intervals, on the sidewalk. Light streaks run along the entire stretch of Hollywood Boulevard photographed, indicating the photograph was taken as an extended exposure, capturing the headlights of cars that drove by as streaks of light.
