Description: View of the Los Angeles Plaza looking southwest across the park towards North Main Street, with the three-story Pico House at left, the five-story Vickrey building (later the Brunswig building), the two-story Garnier building, and the Plaza Church. The Garnier building storefront has visible signs for merchants "Rodgriguez & Weil" and "P. Ballade."

Advertisement printed on verso: "Portrait, Viewing and Commercial Photography in all its Branches. ... J.B. Blanchard & Co., 715 North Main St., Los Angeles, Cal." Title transcribed from item; date devised by cataloger based on photographer history; J.B. Blanchard & Co. (James B. Blanchard & Charles C. Pierce) only appeared at the 715 N. Main Street address in the 1891 Los Angeles City Directory.
