Description
Title supplied by cataloger.
The upper level of the circular Mark Taper Forum is cantilevered outward to a diameter of 140 feet. Wrapping this upper area is a 378-foot precast concrete ""sculpture mural"" made up of 63 panels, each 27 feet high and 6 feet wide, representing a stylized expression of dance. Over the years changes have been made to the theater's reflecting pools: an in-fill of its 2 northern segments to accommodate site enhancements; the 2 southern segments were updated with new pool colors and the installation of railings to prevent accidents.
The Mark Taper Forum and some of its reflecting pools, March 1981.
