Photograph caption dated November 18, 1963 reads, "Robbery suspects - Ray Carpenter and Ronald Lee Ellmers (seen here), both 19, were in jail today on suspicion of robbing a Van Nuys liquor store Wednesday afternoon. They were arrested by police in North Hollywood, minutes after the holdup. Police said both are AWOL from Ft. Ord. The robbery occurred at the Valentine Red liquor store, 6735 Sepulveda Blvd."
