Photograph caption reads: "Architectural rendering of the Earl Carroll Theatre, built in 1938. Caption reads: "With interiors being designed by Count Alexis de Sakhnoffsky and Gordon B. Kaufman, creator of the building, the Earl Carroll Theatre, located at Sunset Blvd. just off Vine Street will be ready Xmas nite. The theater-restaurant will seat 1000 people, and the patrons will be treated to a lavish Carroll musical comedy show plus other restaurant features. The cost of the building is estimated at $500,000". Photograph dated: October 28, 1938.
