Description
Photograph caption dated October 9, 1959 reads, "Bronze plaques were awarded two Burbank Scout leaders and three businessmen for exceeding quotas in previous Community Chest fund drives. Presentation was made by George E. Cowgill, chairman of current drive. Archie Strayer, front left, accepted plaque on behalf of Boy Scouts, while Miss Bettie Farrell, executive director of Girl Scout Council, was recipient of that group's award. Businessmen, standing, are, from left, Al Rediger, James G. Paul and Jack Preston. They head firms topping quotas."
