Both the Bunker Hill Tower and Bunker Hill Towers were designed by architect Robert E. Alexander in 1968.; The DWP General Office Building was designed by Albert C. Martin and Associates and completed in 1964 at the cost of $26,700,000. In November 2000, in honor of longtime council member John Ferraro, the structure was renamed the John Ferraro Building.
