Description
This 1905 photograph shows a street car stop in Oak Park. Passengers, many of whom are women, are seated on the open bench sections of the cars. Two of the cars in view have signs posted reading "SPECIAL CAR." In the background, numerous women are walking into view. They wear the long dresses and large hats typical of the early 1900s. Three men are standing in the foreground, one facing the camera, and the others in motion moving toward the waiting cars.
