[Side A] KPFA Broadcast: (1972-02-07) Barry Commoner, one of the founders of the modern environmental movent, gives a speech at University of California, Berkeley (UCB) titled The Desruction of Our Environment in which he speaks about the social reasons for the deterioration of the environment and the socia choices availble to stop it 00:00-87:12). (1971-01-15) Lynn White and Alan Watts discuss the destruction brought on by contemporary industrial technology (89:00-173:30). (1/4/1972) Attendants at the Ecology and Third World Symposium held in Pauley Ballroom at UCB discuss the inequalities regarding the use of energy between first and third world countries (173:35-225:06). [Side B] On Keith Murray's segment of Afternoon Commentary, he reviews environmentalist Edward Goldsmith's book Blueprint for Survival (1972).
