Used in the Exhibit: Play by Play - A Century of L.A. Sports Photography, 1889-1989 Pittsburgh Steelers running back Franco Harris, during the Steeler' 31-19 victory over the Los Angeles Rams at the Rose Bowl. The Rams had endured a traumatic season: owner Carroll Rosenbloom had died earlier that year, and the team made the playoffs as a wild-card team. In the Rams' first Super Bowl appearance, they took a 13-10 half-time advantage and led going into the fourth quarter. Behind quarterback Terry Bradshaw and his corps of wondrous receivers (including John Stallworth and former USC star Lynn Swan), the Steelers dominated the fourth quarter to take their fourth Super Bowl title. Photo dated: January 20, 1980.
