Description
The Senator Hotel opened in 1924. As the hotel manager put it, "the Senator has, beyond question, the most beautiful central city hotel site in America." It was indeed a top-rate hotel, located across the street from the Capitol Building, and so it attracted numerous lobbyists and politicians.
