Photograph caption dated July 30, 1938, reads "Dr. Morton C. Kahn, who has made several expeditions into the bush Negroes of Dutch Guiana for the Cornell University Medical College and the American Museum of Natural History recently was called to Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios to expertise the bush Negro material for 'Too Hot to Handle' co-starring Clark Gable and Myrna Loy. He is seen here explaining some of the intricate bush Negro wood carvings to Miss Loy."
