Description
Overwhelmed with happiness, Edith Head (left) accepts the Oscar from Peggy Dow for "best achievement in costume design in black and white film" on March 24, 1950. She designed costumes in "The Heiress." In the background are Paul Douglas and Jimmy Stewart. At right is actress Ruth Roman, who also presented awards.
