Photograph of picnic tables among trees in Monte Vista Park in Glendale, California, January 29, 1935. The park, situated at the west end of the La Cañada Valley was part of the Rancho San Rafael awarded to Glassel and Chapman by the Great Partition of 1870. Waste baskets and seating areas are strung throughout a grove of giant sycamore trees.
