Group portrait of Los Angeles Soap Company personnel, including John A. Forthmann Senior, Horace Forthmann, and J.J. Bergin, 1874. Twenty men can be seen standing in three rows next to boxes which read "Water Queen Soap", on their sides, and feature an artist's rendition of a mermaid. Mr. John A. Forthmann Senior, Horace Forthmann, and J.J. Bergin can be seen in the bottom row, at far right.
