The pictures on top of the desk in the background are of: Laura Margrethe 1845-1930 and Lars Larsen Vig 1845-1913. He was a missionary in Madagascar from 1874-1902. He married Laura Margrethe, maiden name Walle, in Madagascar in 1876. Standing on the desk is a picture of Carl Fredrik Bjertnes 1868-1961. He was a missionary in Madagascar from 1893-1927. He married Maren Sofie 1875-1896, maiden name Langballe, in Madagascar in 1895. After her death he married Anna Margrethe 1877-1957, maiden name Vig, in Madagascar on December 23, 1897. Lars Vig and his wife were the parents of Mrs. Anna Bjertnes.
