Photograph was edited for publication purposes. Photograph caption dated January 30, 1950 This is Bearded Lady, new arrival at the Griffith Park Zoo. She started out as property of Montana Governor John Bonner who gave her to California Governor Earl Warren who gave her to March of Dimes who--whew!--gave her to zoo. She'll be playmate of zoo's only remaining bison, Jinx, which unfortunately is also a girl. No romance."
