Description: 178 Corte Madera Ave. This black and white photo shows a three-story, brown-shingle house with shrubbery in front. Stairs coming up the right side lead to what appears to be the main living floor. The bottom lovel is not shingled. The third story does not span the whole house, just the middle section. This house is one of the homes at George Billings' Redwood Lodge and was known as the "Nixie Cottage", named for the owner's yacht. The photo is from the 1981 Walk into History.
