Photograph caption dated September 15, 1960 reads, "Commerce and Industry Section of 1960 Community Chest "United Way" campaign was kicked off Tuesday at meeting featuring Adm. R. H. Bass, left, co-chairman for East Valley, and Robert W. Prescott, over-all Valley chairman. Breakfast today launched drive in West Valley division, with W. D. Bailey chairman of meeting held at McKinley Home for Boys in Sherman Oaks. Robert Fuller chaired meetings of East Valley division of campaign. Over-all Valley goal is $58,520 for Community Chest."
