Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph article dated November 25, 1963 partially reads, "Hundreds of youngsters are learning there is more to phonograph records than rock 'n' roll music. They are finding out phonograph records can help them to read. And parents are elated over the discovery. In a program prepared and endorsed by the Isabelle Buckley Schools, records are used to instruct youngsters and adults in phonics. Mrs. Marie Le Doux, program co-ordinator, said the records were tested for two years before they were recently released to the public. 'We knew the phonics reading method worked in the classroom, but we had to make sure we could effectively transfer the same method to records,' she said. 'The results have been phenomenal,' she added." Note: Pictured are Mrs. Marie Le Doux and her children, Bruce, 8, and Mark, 9.
