Photograph of the Hopi Indian pueblo of Walapi (or Walpai) on mesa, ca.1901. Several ladders leaning against the clustered adobe dwellings may be seen. A burro (or horse) and dog (or lamb) can be seen perched on the path running along the edge of the mesa just below the pueblo.
