Fanny T. Almaguer was born in 1933 in Mexico and came to Los Angeles in 1964 to get an education. She married Jose Almaguer in 1966 and remained in the United States, raising their fours sons. Jose died in 1973 at the age of 38 and Fanny joined the workforce to provide for the family on her own.
