Barbara Stanwyck during a hearing held to determine whether she could "jump" her contract with Columbia Pictures to work for Warner Bros. Superior Court Judge Edmonds decided that Stanwyck's contract with Columbia was still good, meaning that she could not work for Warner Bros. until she completed another film for Columbia. Photograph dated September 11, 1931.
